THINGS WE SHOULD KNOW

LA 'ILAHA 'ILLA 'ALLAH

TEN NEGATIONS OF ISLAAM

LA'ILAHA'ILLA'ALLAH
Means that none in existence deserves to be worshipped except Allah.

**ITS CONDITION**
1st condition	KNOWLEDGE	The knowledge of its meaning, what it asserts and what it negates, knowledge without ignorance (So know that none has the right to be worshipped but Allaah) [47:19].
2nd condition	CERTAINTY	Certainty that negates doubt. (Only those are the believers who have believed in Allaah and His messenger, and afterward doubt not..) [49:15]
3rd condition	SINCERITY	Sincerity that negates Shirk. (Surely the religion is for Allaah only) [39:3] (And they were commanded not , but that they should worship Allaah alone) [98:5].
4th condition	HONESTY	Honesty that negates falsehood. (And We indeed tested those who where before them. And Allaah will certainly know those who are true and those who are liars) [29:3]
5th condition	LOVE	Love for this word, meaning, and indications. (And of mankind are some who take others besides Allaah as rivals. They love them as they love Allaah. But those who believe love Allaah more) [2:165]
6th condition	ADHERENCE	Adherence to what it indicates. (And whosoever submits himself to Allaah with sincerity, then he has grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold) [31:22]
7th condition	ACCEPTANCE	Acceptance of what it requires in terms of deeds and speech. (Truly, when it was said to them: LA ILAH ILLA ALLAAH, they puffed themselves up with pride {i.e denied it}) [37:35]

TAWHEED

The belief that Allaah is Alone in his sovereignty

and control, that He is the only deity to be

worshipped, and that He is unique in His

Names and Attributes.

**PARTS OF TAWHEED**
Unification of his Lordship	Oneness of Allaah's God-ship	Oneness of Allaah's Names And Attributes
To believe that Allaah is the sole Creator, Sustainer, Nourisher, maintainer and controller of all creations (All the praises and thanks be to Allaah, the Lord of the creation) [1:1]( Allaah is He who created you, then provided food for you, then will cause you to die then He will give you life {on the Day of Resurrection} is there any of your {so-called} partners {of Allaah} that do anything of that? Glory be to Him ! And exalted be He above all that {evil} they associate {with Him}) [30:40]	To Worship Allaah alone without ascribing others as partners with Him. (And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him) [17:23] (Worship Allaah and join none with Him in worship) [4:36] (verily Allaah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives anything else to whom he pleases and whoever sets up partners with Allaah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin) [4:48]	To believe in the uniqueness of Allaah's Names and Attributes that He or His prophet have affirmed, without interpreting or negating or denying or simulating them em. (There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seeer) [42:11]. (Say He is Allaah the One. Allaah the Self-sufficient Master. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him.) [112:1-4].

STAGES OF BELIEVING IN

QADAR

**FIRST STAGE:**
The knowledge: Allaah said: {..that you may know that Allaah has power over all things , and that Allaah surrounds (comprehends) all things in His knowledge} [65:12]

**SECOND STAGE:**
The Recording: Allaah said: {..and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a clear book} [36:12], and {....The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets} [20:52].

**THIRD STAGE:**
The Will: Allaah said: {But you cannot will until Allaah wills} [76:30]

FOURTH STAGE:
The Creation: Allaah said: {Allaah is the Creator of all things} [39:62], and {While Allaah has created you and what you make} [37:96]

Islaam and Imaan

Islaam is the total submission to Allaah with the

affirmation of His Unity and Uniqueness with

complete obedience to Him, and with desertion

of Shirk and those who practice it.


SHAHADATAIN TESTIMONY	SALAT PRAYER	ZAKAT MONETARY DUTY	SIYAM FASTING	HAJJ PILGRIMAGE

Saying of the tongue, which is the Shahadatin, Allaah said { "Say: 'We Believe'"} [2:136] and {..except those who bear witness to the Truth} [44:86]	Imaam is comprised of statements and deeds.	Deeds of the tongue such as reciting the Qur'aan and Du'a and deeds of the limbs such as prayer, fasting, Hajj, charity. etc.
Statements of the heart and that is its belief & affirmation, Allaah said: {And he (Muhammad) who has brought the Truth, and those who believed therein, those are the righteous and the pious} [39:33].	Deeds of the heart and that is sub-ordination, Allaah said: {But turn in repentance and in obedience with Truth Faith to your Lord and submit to Him} [39:54]

Imaan increases with good deeds and acts of worship {.. and when His verses are recited unto them (believers), they (verses) increase their faith} [8:2] and decreases with sins as the Prophet said: "Imaan is created in your hearts as a dress is created, so ask Allaah to renew the faith in your hearts".

Negations of Tawheed

Major Shirk Eradicates Tawheed	Shirk is two types	Minor Shirk Diminishes Tawheed
Major Shirk	Directing any type of worship to anything other than Allaah. { Verily, Allaah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives anything else to whom He pleases} [4:48].
Shirk of Invocation	{And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allaah, making their faith pure for Him only, but when He brings them safely to land, behold they give a share of worship to others} [26:65]
Shirk of Intention	{Whosoever desires the life of the world and its glitter, to them We shall pay in full (the wages of ) their deeds therein and they will have no diminution therein. They are those whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but fire; and vain are the deeds they did therein, and of no effect is that which they used to do} [11:15-16]
Shirk of Obedience	{They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires} [9:31]
Shirk of Love	{And of mankind are some who take for worship others beside Allaah as rivals. They love them as they love Allaah, But those who believe love Allaah more} [2:165]

Minor Shirk

Leads to Major Shirk. Examples are: Pretending to do acts of worship and good deeds, and saying to a man: Whatever Allaah and you wish..

Major Kuffr
Eradicates Tawheed

Diminishes Tawheed

Major Kuffr	Is that what completely negates Imaam. Examples are: Denying or rejecting any of Allaah's messengers or scriptures, denying the existence of the Jinn, etc.
Ignorance & Disbelief	{Nay, they deny that; the knowledge whereof they could not compass and whereof the interpretation has not yet come unto them}. [10:39] {Those who deny the Book (Qur'aan) and that which we sent our Messengers, they will come to know (when they will be cast into the Hellfire)} [40:70]
Rejection and Denial	Allaah said regarding Pharaoh and his people {And they belie them (those Ayat) wrongfully and arrogantly, though their own selves were convinced they were from Allaah} [27:14] {It is not you (O Muhammad) that they deny. It is the Verses of Allaah they deny} [6:33]
Stubbornness & Arrogance	Such as the Kuffr of Iblis {And they prostrated except iblis, he refused and was one of the disbelievers} [2:34].
Hypocrisy	Showing Islaam and hiding Kufr {Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lower depths of Fire} [4:145].
Ignoring Religion	The Kufr of Turning away {But those who disbelieve turn away from that whereof they were warned} [46:3].
Doubt and Un found Knowledge	As Allaah said regarding the owner of the two gardens {He said: "I think not that this will ever perish. And I think not the Hour will ever come, and If indeed I am brought back to my Lord, I surely shall find better than this when I return to Him". His companion said to him bring the talk with him: 'Do you disbelieve in Him Who created you out of dust then out of Nutfa (mixed semen drops and female discharge) than fashioned you into a man? But as for my part (I believe) that He is Allaah, my Lord and none shall I associate as partner with my Lord} [18:35-38]

Minor Kufr

Degrades Imaan, for example when the Prophet said: "The swearing at a Muslim is deviation, and fighting him is kufr."

The Ten Negations Of Islaam

Shirk, such as sacrificing animals for the pleasure of other than Allaah, or supplicate to other than Him, {Verily, Allaah forgives not that partners should be set up with (Him in worship), but He forgives except that to whom He pleases} [4:48].

Placing intermediates between them and Allaah. {And they worship besides Allaah things that harm them not nor benefit them, and they say "There are our intercessors with Allaah"] [10:18]

Not declaring the Kuffar as such, or having reservations as to their Kuffr or Shirk. This is affirmed by scholarly consensus.

Considering other teachings or laws to be better than of the Prophet.

Hating the teaching of the Prophet

, even if one follows them. {That is because they hate that which Allaah has sent down, that He rendered their deeds fruitless}. [47:9]

Ridiculing any of the teaching of Islaam. {Say: "Was it at Allaah and His Ayat and Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuse, you have disbelieved after you had believed"} [9:65-66]

Practicing witchcraft or condoning it.

Aiding non believers against Muslims {O you who believe, take not the Jews and the Christians as allies, they are allies but to one another. And if any of you allies with them then he is surely one of them} [5:51].

Believing that the teaching of Islaam can be put aside and not abide by.

Ignoring or neglecting Islaam and its teachings and not learning or abiding by them. {And who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the Ayat of his Lord, then he turns aside therefrom? [32:22]
